Girls TV

Gossip Girl is back in full swing. I love the royal family that B is marrying into. Not that it'll happen, but it's fun for now. The sister character is great. I'm not sure what the hell Elizabeth Hurley is doing on this show. It doesn't help the show and it sure can't be helping her career much. I like the honesty of Chuck not feeling anything. Can we do something about Dan's hair. Where is Lilly? Also is this the third season in a row where Nate starts off sleeping with a cougar? I'm over it. All in all it's doing good and keeping this girl happy.

2 Broke Girls might have this seasons breakout comedy actress in Kat Dennings. The show is smart, relevant, witty and plain ass funny. I really enjoy the concept and goal of the show. I was a bit iffy at start but it grew on me especially when I realized where they were going. Turn your back on the rack, your under attack. Must watch.

New Girl
First off I LOVE anything with Zooey. She is phenomenal and this show is sooooo super sweet with a kick. The roomies are great, but I do miss Coach. I know it was just one episode, but he made such a strong impression. Don't get me wrong nothing will stop me from watching this show. It had charisma and a neat theme song. Does anyone feel like they might be setting her up to be with the other loner guy? I hope not, I think it'll ruin the show dynamic.

Alright I have a lot of TV to watch. I haven't even started Pan Am and write an entire blog on my new love Revenge.

Teen Bop

The Lying Game is on ABC Family and it started after Pretty Little Liars ended, so it was inevitable I would watch it. I was instantly hooked. The characters are great, the actors playing them are talented and mesh. The storyline moves at a great pace, and gives you just enough to make you happy and keep you on your toes for the next one. This week however I will say the ending just pissed me off. I loved that Sutton who is pretending to be Emma is being taken to jail, and from the looks of it Alec is going to leave her there. But I didn't like the real Emma's foster brother showing up at her house. EEEEWWWWW hopefully hunk Ethan didn't get too far.
Anyways, this is super show and I hope it keeps coming back to give us more like PLL.

The Vampire Diaries is on CW and I totally read these books when I was in middle school. This show is a pure indulgence. I know everyone loves True Blood, but I could never get into it. This was always it for me. Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and Matthew Davis, YUM. The first episode was good, picked up right where it left off. The Vamp/Wolf hookup took long enough and I can't believe his mom shot her with vervain. Anyways, definitely no disappointments here well except for Jeremy getting more screen time, so annoying. Second episode was good. This show is just moving along like there wasn't a break and I love it.

The Secret Circle is on CW and I really, really want to like this. However after two episodes, I'm having a tough time. I like the premise of the show and most of the characters are decent. The show started out very mysterious and tempting. I feel however that the character of Fay has given us too much to soon. She is clearly supposed to be the bad girl who wants to wreak havoc with her powers, but they don't build her character. Instead it's immediately shoved down our throats, and I already hate her. My second actor issue is with Cassie the main protagonist. Did she graduate from the Hayden Panettiere school of acting?!? This isn't a bad thing if your Hayden, (I've spoken to her on the phone once so I can call her Hayden :) ) I loved Heroes, and Bring it On ghetto style or whatever hers was called. But it's annoying and I am hoping as Cassie becomes more comfortable with her new life and calling she will stop playing the clueless, mouth agape, blond twit.

Glee week 2 you start off by showing the viewers what we missed from last week, funny enough I didn't feel like I missed a damn thing. I wonder if the person editing those clips together at the beginning started groaning about 1 second in. I do believe Mrs. Bess put it best in my last blog, I watch it for the free musical theater. I actually laughed out loud twice during this weeks episode. The first was Brittany describing the Unicorn's life cycle, freaking hilarious. The second was Kurt's dad describing how gay Kurt is, "...Your not like Rock Hudson gay..you sing like Diana Ross and dress like you own a chocolate factory...". I love my gays, you can't deny how hilarious this was. On the Kurt side, is it possible he is getting MORE annoying that Rachel?? I am glad that Quinn is out of her skank phase, but to trying to get custody of Beth wrong way to go with this writers. Idina should not have been brought back for this bullshit. Oh well, this week showed more promise than the premiere, but I am still not holding my breath.

The show that started it all....

I get back to work after the new fall season has begun and it's water cooler time, or really just a huddle around my cubicle. We start talking about what shows we are watching and what we thought about certain Pilots and Season Premiere's.

There are a lot of great shows coming around this season and I will certainly get to them, but there are two shows in particular that just let me down. First is the return of Glee. Now ,I will say I wasn't a huge fan to begin with, but after awhile I did start to get what the show was about. This season premiere was a disappointment. It felt more like the seventh episode in a season than the bang we usually get with a season premiere. I just hope that all the success the show hasn't caused them to rest on their laurels. Because they can lose the fans as quickly as they got them.

Alright now the real mama jama. Ringer. Don't start hating on me yet, believe me I am sure I will piss someone off. That is if anyone actually read this. I was really excited for Ringer, and the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar (SMG). I like SMG not only from Buffy, from her post work too, but mostly Buffy. I am not going to make the already exhausted comparison between Ringer and The Lying Game (ABC Family), because even though the premise is slightly similar they can't compare. Sadly though where The Lying Game is supposed to be the little sister to Ringer, it's coming out on top in my book.

The problem I have with Ringer is it's characters are not believable. It feels like your watching one of those dinner theater who done it. The cast doesn't feel comfortable with each other. I might be alone on this one point, but does SMG age? She looks like a teenager trying to play grownup, and I'm not buying it. The characters (yes plural she's playing twins) that she is playing are sooooo good, so complex and should be given a better actress. I don't understand how the CW felt that they would get the old Buffy fans to stick with this just because it's her. She doesn't kick ass, she doesn't even have a hot husband. Her lover is the only other person on the show that looks around her age. Her BFF is totally confusing, it doesn't match neither personalilty or looks to who Siobhan would hang out with.

I feel bad, because I have spoken to a few people about this show and we are all on the same page, and not even for the same reasons. So I don't think this show has much of a future. Which stinks for SMG who I think has lost her "Buffy" and for the always stunning Nestor Carbonell, and his eyelashes.

Introductions are in order

My name is Aidamarie and I live in Orlando, Florida. I have lived in Florida for most of my life, although I traveled extensively when I was younger. For the past 6 years I have been married to the most amazing man and best friend I could ask for. We have two daughters 3 & 1 years old. They have both been named after film & television actors, just don't tell my husband.
He thinks the names were chosen at random.

I am an only child, and when we traveled I was the only child amongst a plethora of adults. Didn't have much but books and T.V. to escape to. So I will say that my addiction to Television started at a pretty early age when I discovered that Tom & Jerry cartoons were broadcast worldwide, as was Scooby Doo.

I am not going to lie and say that my choice in Television shows has matured much over the years. As my sorority sisters that roomed with me can attest to I fell asleep each night to the Cartoon Network.
So if you are reading this and think that I am going to write a super intelligent blog about T.V. think again. I am just using this as an outlet to express my love, frustration, annoyance and infatuation with current T.V. shows.

I might go back to some cancelled shows that I loved such as LOST, Heroes, The Facts of Life, Roseanne, As the World Turns for reference.

XOXO (yep I love Gossip Girl)
